Can you provide support for a Visa interview?Yes, Onyx Med Partners can give you a Program Acceptance Letter (PAL) for your B1/B2 Visa interview. We help medical students and graduates with clinical rotations, so we know how important the right paperwork is for your visa interview. Our team will make sure you get a detailed and official PAL that shows you're accepted into our program, making the visa process easier. This letter will include details about your clinical rotation or other educational plans with us to help meet the consulate's requirements.

What is the refund policy if my Visa application gets rejected for a clinical rotation with Onyx Med Partners?If your Visa application is rejected, Onyx Med Partners offers a full refund for your deposit. What is the deposit I need to pay before my Visa gets secured?We require a 25% deposit to secure a clinical rotation placement. The remaining 75% is due upon Visa approval, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.

What is the minimum duration of a clinical rotation?The minimal duration for preceptorship is four weeks, as preceptors require adequate time for effective teaching and assessment. However, some preceptors may consider exceptions, and this information can be found on the preceptor's page.

Do I first need to pass my USMLE Step 1 or MCAT?No, but please keep in mind that a previous preceptor may require you to pass or achieve a minimum passing score. If you have any questions or need further information about this, feel free to contact us—we’re here to help!

What documents do I need to apply?When applying to partake in a clinical rotation, it's important to note that specific requirements will be necessary. These may include documentation such as proof of identity, education status, immunization records, health insurance, and liability insurance. When are my required documents due?Please email all required documents at least 14 days before your start date to admin@onyxmedpartners.com.

What will happen if I miss the deadline for submitting my document?Please be aware that late document submission can cause administrative and logistical challenges for you and your preceptor. If you cannot meet the document deadline, you may be subject to a nominal fee, and your start date could be postponed.

Is this clinical rotation hands-on?Individuals categorized as IMS, IMG, or AMG are permitted to engage in supervised patient contact, including taking a patient's history, conducting physical examinations, and performing non-invasive tests. However, they are not authorized to carry out any activities considered the practice of medicine. As a pre-medical student, your role is limited to observing.

Are there specific start dates for beginning?You can begin your rotation on any Monday of the month. If you have a specific start date in mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred schedule.

Can I choose core or elective rotations to meet my school's curriculum requirements?Certainly! To proceed, please provide a Dean's Letter specifying your school's requirements and authorization. Once we have received this document, we will be here to help you.

Will I be attending a hospital for my rotation?Please keep in mind that each preceptor provides a unique clinical experience, with some offering a mix of outpatient and inpatient settings. If you’d like more details or have specific preferences, feel free to contact us—we’re here to help!

Will I have access to the EMR system?The level of supervision you receive may vary depending on your preceptor's comfort level with you.

When my rotation is complete, what kind of documentation can I expect to receive?You will be provided with a comprehensive clinical evaluation and a performance-based letter of recommendation (LOR).

Will I receive a guaranteed Letter of Recommendation (LOR)?Letters of recommendation (LORs) should focus on an individual's performance. Showing up on time, demonstrating good medical knowledge, and respecting the staff are essential to earning a solid letter of recommendation.

Will I be able to see my LOR?If you want to view the document, it's best to ask your preceptor to send it directly to you. Regarding residency applications, waiving your right to access the document is a good idea.

What kind of letterhead would I expect my Letter of Recommendation (LOR) to be on?It’s important to note that the specific details of the rotation will be influenced by the preceptor overseeing it. As a result, letters from preceptors may be on hospital, clinic, or university-based letterheads, depending on the mix of preceptors involved.

What forms of payment do you accept?We gladly accept payments via credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers for those with a U.S. bank account. Additionally, we accept Zelle if supported by your bank.

When is payment required?Please note that payment in full is required at the time of purchase. To ensure a smooth process for you, your preceptor, and the administrative team, we kindly ask that payments be cleared at least 30 days before the start of your rotation.

We do not offer refunds once the rotation starts. If you need to cancel your rotation within 30 days of the start date, we will refund 50% of your payment. For cancellations made prior to this 30-day window, we offer a 100% money-back guarantee. This policy ensures that our scheduling and resources are managed efficiently while maintaining flexibility for our clients.

Can I contact my Preceptor before the rotation begins?Please do not contact the Preceptor ahead of time! They are focused on patient care and calling them during clinic hours can inconvenience. We work hard on affiliating with Preceptors so we kindly ask that you do not reach out to them directly for questions or to set up your own rotation on the side.

When and how will I learn about my designated preceptor for my clinical rotation with Onyx Med Partners?You will learn about your preceptor once your bill is paid in full. After payment, we confirm the best preceptor for you and provide their background and contact details for a smooth clinical experience.

Can I change my Preceptor after I make payment?Once assigned and paid, changing your preceptor isn't available. If essential, request a change with an additional fee due to prior commitments. Contact us for support and guidance.
